POLAND: KROSNO
30 students and 12 teachers from Sicily, Ireland, Cyprus and the Czech Republic visited Krosno between 19 and 23 of October 2009. First they were introduced to our students and teachers and then they found out about Polish culture during the performance and the trips. They visited Sanok and the Wieliczka Salt Mine and our beautiful Krakow too
The correspondents were staying at our students' houses. In the evenings we organized parties and discos. We had a lot of fun.
I took a guest from abroad to my house for the second time. It was a very interesting experience this time as well as the previous one. This year I was glad that the girl from the Czech Republic was my guest. She was very kind and friendly. She gave me and my family some gifts typical for her country. I gave her some souvenirs from Poland. We still keep in touch and I think it is the beginning of a new friendship.
Generally, I think that everyone liked Poland, and most of all Polish language- strange and difficult for them. Our guests especially remembered such words as biedronka (ladybug), cześć (hello) and Jak się masz? (How are you?).
I hope we will all meet in the future.
