A Taste of Irish Cuisine

On the recent Comenius trip to Sicily CBC Monkstown students Eoghan Mooney, David Smith and Jake Kavanagh brought a taste of Irish food to the group meeting in Caltinasetta. Savoury delights such as Fish Cakes, Irish Stew and Irish Bread and Butter Pudding were presented as one of our main sources of tasty satisfaction and a large part of our staple diet!

Being an island, Ireland is famous for including fish one of the main parts of diet. Fishing is a national passtime, so no wonder we like to present fish cakes as a starter for a perfect dish. For a main course, traditional Irish stew is very welcome on every plate. Throughout our history, the Irish poeple have worked very hard and always look forward to a hearty meal. And to finish with desert, our sweet bread and butter pudding is the icing on the cake. No matter where in the world you come from, near or far, we implore you to try out our variety of great food in making the perfect Irish meal. For a start, have a quick look at the handy video and then head into your nearest kitchen to create a small piece of savoury heaven! Enjoy!
